The following guide provides a brief explanation of the abbreviations used on this website and in the tables.

# ...................... The player's sweater number (the last number worn during the season)
POS .................... The player's position (per nhl.com's Player Stats database)
NAME ................... The player's name (per nhl.com's Player Stats database)
NAT'L .................. The player's current nationality (per nhl.com's Player Stats database - can differ from birthplace)
TEAM ................... The player's team for which the statistics are displayed
                         > if Team = NHL, stats are total of all teams the player played for that season
                         > if Team = EAS, stats are total of all Eastern Conference teams the player played for that season
                         > if Team = WES, stats are total of all Western Conference teams the player played for that season
GP ..................... Games Played
G ...................... Goals scored
A ...................... Assists
PTS .................... Points (goals plus assists)
NHL +/- ................ The NHL's Plus/Minus statistic (see Learn More)
TM GF .................. Team Goals For - how many goals his team scored while the player was on the ice
TM GA .................. Team Goals Against - how many goals were scored against his team while the player was on the ice
                         (Note: Team Goals excludes penalty shot and shootout goals)
GOAL DIFF .............. Goal Differential (team goals for minus team goals against)
ALL SIT +/- ............ All Situations Situational Plus/Minus (EV + ADV + SH + XUP + XDN ... see below)
EV SIT +/- ............. Even Strength Situational Plus/Minus (6v6 + 5v5 + 4v4 + 3v3 ... see next)
6V6 .................... Sit +/- for 6-on-6, where both goalies have been pulled for an extra attacker (it could happen!)
5V5 .................... Sit +/- for 5-on-5, or 5 skaters for each side (normal "even strength" situation)
4V4 .................... Sit +/- for 4-on-4, or 4 skaters for each side
3V3 .................... Sit +/- for 3-on-3, or 3 skaters for each side
ADV SIT +/- ............ Advantage Situational Plus/Minus (5v4 + 5v3 + 4v3 ... see next)
5V4 .................... Sit +/- for 5-on-4, or 5 skaters for player's team and 4 skaters for the opposition
